dc.description.abstract | Writing about romantic female relationships can be traced back over 2500 years. But until recently, they have tended to perpetuate the narrow stereotypes of lesbianism. These recent narratives create new depictions of lesbianism that disrupt stereotypes and appear in a variety of media: non-traditional memoir, television and web series, and fiction novel. Not only are these authors saying something new, but they are using media in new ways to do it. | en |
